If this wasn’t captured on film I’d never believe it myself, or at least not the ferocity of it!
At last week’s Met Ball, the annual ball which formally marks the New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s yearly Costume Institute exhibit, it appears from a leaked video doing the rounds on-line that Solange Knowles (a fav here at #BIOTB) flipped out on none other than her famous brother-in-law JayZ!
I doubt we’ll ever get to hear what the incident was about any time soon but from the footage it’s clear that Solo damn near lost it in that lift.
It’s never a great (nor bougie) look to have to be held back by security whilst kicking and punching, but when the person you’re trying to attack is your older sister’s husband (??) and in her presence!! Maaannnn that has all manner of ‘levels’ to it…
*pauses to sip tea*
Anyhoooo here’s the footage…
What would you have done if you were Bey?
What could Jay have done to make Solo so loco??
Is it just me or does Beyoncé’s response or LACK THEREOF seem a bit off considering what’s going on???
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below… Oh and keep it #bougie 😉
Uncut footage from the lift:
So, Solo aka Solange Knowles performed yesterday at Coachella 2014 the 2-day music festival in California. As she came to the end of her set and whilst performing my current ringtone (lol!) her song ‘Losing You’ she was joined on stage by her big sister Beyoncé for cute display of sisterly support.
Totally here for it! Her outro comments also made me smile. Solo is Trill!
P.s. Apparently Bey was rocking Topshop 🙂
This is why I’ll always love Naomi.
She kept it classy whilst throwing first class supermodel shhhhhhhhade when asked by one of the host’s of Australia’s “This Morning” show what she thought of Kim and Kanye’s US Vogue cover.
I love that she also managed to point out that she’s been in the modelling game for 28 years…Hold on Kimye, I’m gonna let you finish but…Let me repeat that figure T W E N T Y – E I G H T Y E A R S!! *stamps foot like a preacher*
Oh and of course I also love her for this:
They don’t call Ms Campbell a SUPERmodel for nothing!!
I’m going to stop now… but not before I post this:
Which is the face I imagine Naomi had when she first heard of the Kimye cover lol!
Looking at all these covers I think Naomi definitely deserves a “Yes To All Of This” post… (coming soon 😉 )
Soooo…Do you think Kim or ‘Kimye’ deserved the coveted cover of Vogue Magazine? Did Anna Wintour drop the ball on this one or do you think the cover’s hashtag of ‘#WORLDSMOSTTALKEDABOUTCOUPLE’ is accurate and rightly earned Kanye and Kim this prized position?
Have you cancelled your subscriptions for the fashion bible that is Vogue or did you run out and try to lay hands on a copy?
Let me know below.
I just took the time to listen to Alicia Keys new song… On point and inspirational should you need it and perhaps fits with the post below.
…If you notice that I’m different, dont be mad, it’s just a brand new kind of me…”
If you were a friend, you’d want to get to know me again.
If you were worth the while, you’d be happy to see me smile.
I’m not expecting sorry, I’m too busy finding myself. I got this, I found me, I found me!”
Wow, I love the bold sentiments of this song and I’m a sucker for good songwriting, it really does create beautiful art.
Sidenote 1: I love that Alicia wasn’t afraid, not only to practice in front of the live audience before she started this song but also to tell them exactly what she did. We should never be afraid to practice before we’re ready to deliver, in life, in love, in work wherever; life isn’t necessarily made up of perfect takes.
Sidenote 2: Emile Sande is amazing…fact.
I know this message comes three days late but HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!! 🙂
I won’t lie I’ve been so caught up in the festive period i.e. Christmas, celebrating the occasion with my family, catching up with friends (and myself), taking a breather from anything work related, that my laptop has hardly passed my fingertips!
Anyhow, I pray that this year will be a great one for whomever may be reading this. May you find peace, happiness and joy this year and beyond (and indeed in this blog ;)).
One of my resolutions this year is to live an even more truer life, to embrace and not shy away from the me that is me, be it good, bad or
ugly not so good because I am after all Me. The simplicity yet huge significance of the statement “I am Me” is one which may well resonate with you straight away or after some thought but I hope it does resonate simply because the truth of it is undeniable for every single one of us. The truth of it also offers a perfect platform to go on this year and beyond to seize and create the life you want, the life which suits and nurtures your TRUEself. If you ask me, this can only be done by starting from a foundation of knowing, accepting, embracing, understanding and celebrating the you that YOU are.
Well, what are you waiting for? Lets go!!! xx
Stay #Bougie :*
P.s. What are your New Years Resolutions if any?
